Kristen Euretig, CFP®

Women's Wealth Warrior

Kristen Euretig is a Certified Financial Planner™, Women’s Wealth Warrior and founder of Brooklyn Plans. She has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Forbes as an expert financial planner and consumer advocate. She is passionate about helping women realize their innate power by transforming their relationship to money.

Born in Columbia, MD to an ever-relocating Air Force father, she considers herself to be from Sacramento, California & obtained her BA in Linguistics from University of California San Diego after studying in Spain and attending classes at the University of Barcelona her junior year.  She moved to Brooklyn in 2004 to become a New York City Teaching Fellow and obtained a Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language at Long Island University (Brooklyn campus).  

 

She began her finance career in 2008 at a private firm and then worked in financial empowerment non-profits Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners & Microfinance Opportunities before founding Brooklyn Plans. She completed her financial planning coursework at Boston University.  In her free time, she takes Haitian folkloric dance classes, travels and enjoys all things Spanish as well as her adorable rescue pup, Sato (proof of adorability on IG @BrooklynPlans.)

Paraplanner

Justin is the on-staff Paraplanner at Brooklyn Plans. He does research and analysis on clients' budgets, credit, debt, and investments to help create their financial plans. 


He's an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) and is a candidate for CFP® certification, having passed the Certified Financial Planer™ exam. He's a proud member of the XY Planning Network, an association of financial advisors specializing in working with clients of Generations X and Y.

Sydney Maloney

Operations Specialist

After completing a six-week internship with Brooklyn Plans, Sydney is working as the Operations Specialist helping things run smoothly with day-to-day operations. Sydney is finishing her last year of a Business and Marketing degree at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and is working remotely.
