Last month I wrote about the collective disappointment many of us felt after processing Kamala’s loss to Trump and I had a lot of feedback – love it when you all respond to the newsletter with your thoughts! I promised we’d have more nitty gritty details in the December newsletter, but the truth is we don’t have any. There’s a lot of noise, threats, and promises to constituents that may or may not come to fruition. In his last term, many of Trump’s attempts to limit rights and protections were never enacted or overturned such as replacing the Affordable Care Act, the travel ban from primarily Muslim countries and DACA (Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals Act).
A lot of what comes out of Trump’s mouth, and a lot of nonsense comes out of his mouth – (remember the whole ingesting bleach thing for COVID??) just won’t or can’t come to pass. It’s hard to prepare when there are so many unknowns, so what we’re telling our clients is not to worry. Nothing has changed yet. When we have more information or as things do change, we will be right on top of it and ready to guide our clients to make the best decisions for themselves. We can’t predict the future, but once we have changes to our financial system that affect our clients, we will be the first to let you know what your options are so you can make informed decisions as we navigate a turbulent time.
